Check Out The Refreshed Audi Q5 With New Lighting Tech

We all like an SUV and the Audi Q5 has always been popular with customers at Sensible Cars. The Q5 is that immensely practical size car - big enough for the family, but not so large there are restrictions on driving it anywhere.

So Audi fans of the SUV will be pleased to hear that a refreshed version of the Audi Q5 will be available in the autumn.

The latest version of the car will feature a number of enhancements to make the package even more compelling. So, what are they?

Well, there’s a sharpened appearance, thanks to an octagonal Singleframe grille which is shallower and appears wider than before, while the air intakes on either side have been enlarged. New sill inserts give the car’s side-on appearance a sleeker look.

But you need to take a look at the lights that brighten up the Q5’s appearance. On Sport models there are now LED headlamp technology which replace the previous xenon units. The daytime running lights have a new signature appearance too.

Step up to S line and Edition 1 grades and these model now feature distinctively designed Matrix LED headlamps that were previously reserved for Vorsprung versions. The topline Vorsprung model benefits from next generation digital OLED lighting. This means it can play a variety of welcome and departure routines when you go to enter or leave the car. Fancy!

Inside the car, the digital screen display has increased in size so that important information is displayed more easily to the driver. Previously the Audi MMI display screen size was either 7 ins or 8.5 in but has now grown to 10.1 ins (pictured above).

New Edition 1 model

You also need to look out for a new Edition 1 model in the Q5 range.

This Edition 1 is based on S line specification but adds exclusive matt black, diamond cut 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels to the mix. There's also a black styling pack that gives a lustrous Titanium black or High gloss black finish to everything from the window and grille surrounds to the door mirror housings and the four Audi rings logo.

Edition 1 models will be available in a choice of glacier white or mythos black paint finishes; alternatively you can choose the new shades of district green and ultra blue.

The updated Audi Q5 arrives in the autumn. But if you can’t wait until then (and who would blame you?), then we have some excellent leasing deals on the current Audi Q5 range. Have a look for an excellent car at an excellent lease rate.
